I Love Durian
The King of Fruits. The strong aroma might not be for everyone. One thing’s for sure though: I was born to devour durian. Growing up in Georgia, the best durian you’ll find is something prepackaged. There are frozen durians you can buy and thaw, but they’re hit-or-miss.
I will never forget when I flew to Vietnam for the first time and went to Đà Lạt, a city in the mountains. My wife spotted a durian vendor selling different kinds of durian that I never knew existed. I tried musang king and fell in love. We went once at noon. I loved it so much, I went back for more two hours later. Then, on the same day, I raved about it to my family. So, naturally, I went a third time. The vendor recognized me and immediately started preparing a seating area for me and grabbed my favorite musang king.
3D Printed Toys
My niece has food-themed toys, like bananas and apples. My sister mentioned that she had an empty can with a mushroom logo on it, but no mushrooms. I designed and printed these mushroom slices.

Designing the Durian
I designed the durian in Blender. It took a few attempts (I somehow forgot the anatomy of a durian… I guess it doesn’t last long in front of me). In hindsight, I should’ve rounded the spikes a little for safety — it was intended to be a child’s toy, anyway.
Printing the Durian
I have a Bambu X1C with the AMS. It was a huge upgrade from my previous Sidewinder X1. I love it. After printing, I added velcro patches to the “meat” of the durian.
